I don't know whether to post this or not, I hate reminders of the pain that others might be going through.  It makes me very sad.  Made with ink and colored pencil.  Comments, critiques appreciated.

The Wishing Well

Deep beneath the wishing well,
Lies a world where fairies dwell.
Fairy fish glide idly by,
‘Voiding hooks cast in their sky.

Fairy dragons lie in wait,
Tempting all “Defy your fate!
Wish a wish! Yes, set us free!
What a gift your life shall be. ”

They chain the helpless victims by
Dancing gold beneath their eyes,
Until yon hero comes and claims
The hapless victims from their pains.

The fairy crown waits for his head.
The queen, she waits upon his bed.
But loves true light will set him free
To live his life courageously.

He’ll turn his back on power and greed.
Trusting love is all he’ll need,
He’ll wish for only that which is,
A life with love that will be his.

Three lovely easter cards I created using colored pencil and ink I've had a few people tell me I should try selling these online so maybe I will post them on etsy or pinterest?  Still trying to work out how that might work as I'm not really a "pinner" and my husband is the one with the etsy shop for his photos.  But I like them. They make me think of spring.  On the sad side my dad had me create a sympathy card today. I noticed that some of my friends from childhood had their grandmother pass away.  I hope they enjoy the little bit of spring on the card, although it was lilies that were the flowers.  I hope they will feel a little bit of peace and the love that not only we feel for them but also the love of our heavenly father and that they will find comfort in that as well.

Spring Bunny Pencil and ink.
I was in my church meetings when I created this.  I wanted to create something "springy" this is what I came up with. I think it would make a great Easter card. I gave it away to one of the ladies at my mom's church on Tuesday.
